Windows 8.1: Move mouse pointer to the default button in dialog boxes automatically
Do you often lose the mouse pointer on your screen, especially when you are in the midst of completing an urgent task? Well, this situation can be quite frustrating for you. There are several ways in which you can tackle this situation – adding mouse trails and moving the mouse pointer to the default button in dialog boxes automatically are just a few to name. If you want to get rid of the annoyance, here are the simple steps that you can follow in order to move mouse pointer to the default button.
The easy step solution to the above issue is as:
Step 1: Right click on the bottom left of the ‘Start’ screen.
Step 2:Â From the menu that appears, click on ‘Control Panel’ and it will open the ‘Control Panel’ window on the desktop.
Step 3:Â Set it to the ‘Large Icons’ view, and then click on ‘Mouse’.
Step 4:Â The Mouse Properties window will open. Select the ‘Pointers Options’ tab, and then in the ‘Snap To’ section, check ‘Automatically Move Pointer to the Default Button in a Dialog Box’.
Step 5:Â Click ‘Apply’, and then click ‘OK’ to save the changes.
Step 6:Â Close the ‘Control Panel’ window.
Step 7:Â Now the mouse will move around more quickly when navigating programs and will automatically snap to the default button in dialog boxes.Â
By applying the above mentioned steps you can make sure that the next time you open up a dialog box, the mouse pointer will automatically move to its default position. Whether you click on it or not is entirely your choice…
