Windows® 8 Unveiled, the release next year is almost final
The much-awaited Windows 8 was finally unveiled last month at the D9 conference in Redmond, US. Steven Sinofsky, president of Microsoft Windows, lifted the veil on the forthcoming operating system. This could not be a co-incidence but the same day in far-east Taiwan, people had a first look at the new Windows 8 at the Taipei Computex 2011 in Taipei.
As most of us know, Windows 8, the latest operating system from Microsoft, can be operated both through the conventional as well as the latest ways that have been devised of late. So, you obviously have the option of using the keyboard and the mouse to work on this new platform; however, if you have had enough of these peripherals, you can just make use of your fingers as the operating system has been provided with a touch screen.
What was just a fantasy is now going to become a reality as you will be able to drag apps and files from one place to another simply through a sleight of hand.
We had merely been speculating so far but now it is official that Microsoft is going to release its next operating system in April next year.
At a time when multitasking has become the order of the day, practicing the same will just be a matter of dragging a running app to the center of the screen. PC users will also find a new version of Internet Explorer 10 and an app store in the touch screen interface.
