ASUS Windows 8 tablets rumored to be pricey; from $599 to $1299
ASUS’ Windows 8 tablet pricing is leaked to be high. In other words, ASUS Windows 8 tablets could garner little demand as compared to other Windows 8 tablets around holiday. As per the price leaks, tablets will cost higher than notebook PCs. Therefore, two Windows 8 tablets of ASUS could have a tough hitchhike in the marketplace.
A leaked ASUS holiday roadmap got revealed to ZDNet, the leading technology and gadget website. According to the leaked roadmap, ASUS has plans to release three Windows 8 tablets that are ASUS Vivo Tab RT (TF600T), ASUS Vivo Tab (TF810C) and ASUS Taichi. The ASUS Vivo Tab RT (TF600T) is expected to cost $599, ASUS Vivo Tab (TF810C) will cost $799 and and ASUS Taichi is pegged at $1299.
Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft, has already revealed pricing details for Windows 8 tablets. As per his price quotes, the Microsoft Surface tablet will start from $300 to $800 depending on the platforms that are Windows RT and Windows 8 Pro and features included.
