The logo for the new Windows 8 is out and unfortunately, it has not gone down well with most of the people who were eagerly awaiting its release. The logo has been drawing a lot of flak and there are demands that it be changed.

Many feel that the new Windows 8 logo is akin to the one Microsoft used in Windows 1.0. However, people found the earlier one more creative. The general belief is that the logo could have been designed more aesthetically.
Here is what some of the leading publications had to say about the newly released logo of the upcoming operating system from Microsoft:
“The new logo is a mistake and one Microsoft could and should correct before Windows 8 ships in the autumn (well, presumably).” Joe Wilcox – BetaNews
“Summary: The Windows 8 logo gives me a window, but I want to jump out of it.” Larry Dignan – ZDNet
“Microsoft Unveils Bland, Blue Windows 8 Logo” Mark Hachman – PCmag
