Disappointing Start for Windows 8
The start that Windows 8 had (in the first one month) is almost same as the start that Windows Vista had. Windows Vista was one of the mistakes of Microsoft. Now this new operating system Windows 8 is being compared to Windows Vista, which is really sad news.
Obviously they’re not the same when it comes to performance wise but the start these two operating systems have is really similar. The market share of Vista in the first one month of its release is 1% and the market share that Windows 8 is currently enjoying is 1.2%.
There are lot of theories going around as to why Windows 8 is having such a bad time. Economy in general is not that great. When Vista was released in 2007, the economy was doing fine but now, times have changed.
Windows 8 had not boosted the sales of PC as expected by the experts earlier. But Microsoft maintains that it has already sold 40 million Windows 8 licenses. To know more about this, read the complete story here.
