Google Maps coming back on IE in Windows Phone 8
Google has taken off Google Maps was from Windows Phones on IE stating performance issues of the browser earlier. Google was redirecting the users of the service to Google search and it soon plans to remove the redirect.
Google has said that IE (the mobile version) did not offer good experience and some of the functionalities of Google Maps wouldn’t work on the browser in their statement. This problem was present only in IE and other browsers didn’t have any problem with Google Maps.
Now, Google says that they have reviewed the mobile browser on Windows Phone 8 again and the results were satisfactory. So they are planning to remove the redirect on IE on Windows Phone 8. Google said that it was a product decision and the access was not removed from competitive reasons.
