HP launched Ultrabooks for Windows 8
It seems that PC makers are in a race to lure consumers in purchasing their new Windows 8-based machines rather than opting for Apple's iPad tablet or laptops. Keeping in pace with other PC manufacturers, HP too unveiled two new ultrabooks equipped with Windows 8 operating system and featuring multitouch displays. These machines are called HP SpectreXT TouchSmart Ultrabook and HP Envy TouchSmart Ultrabook 4.
James Mouton, senior vice president and general manager, Personal Computer Global Business Unit, HP commented on the launch as, “Consumers want the flexibility to move between creating rich documents and losing themselves in a great movie.”

HP SpectreXT TouchSmart Ultrabook
HP SpectreXT TouchSmart Ultrabook provides you a premium touch experience. The sophisticated all-metal design features edge-to-edge glass, a soft-touch base for comfort and grip, a glass touchpad, and tilted speakers with Beats Audio for optimal sound. This is the first HP notebook to feature Intel Thunderbolt technology that provides lightening fast transfer of music, movies, and data to external devices.
According to HP press release, “The notebook also features exclusive HP innovations, including HP CoolSense for a noticeably cooler PC; an HP Imagepad for precise multifinger and gesture navigation; HP ProtectSmart for added hard-drive protection; an HP TrueVision HD Webcam; and applications such as HP Connected Photo and HP Connected Music for easy access to photos, music and more.”
HP Envy TouchSmart Ultrabook 4
HP Envy TouchSmart Ultrabook 4 features an eye-catchy metal design, a backlit keyboard, a booming subwoofer with Beats Audio, and an optional AMD graphics card. This machine is equipped with several HP innovations, such as HP CoolSense, HP Imagepad, HP ProtectSmart, HP TrueVision HD Webcam, HP Connected Photo, HP Connected Music, and HP Connected Backup.
