Hewlett-Packard has announced that its new tablet Slate 8 would run on Windows 8. According to sources, this new tablet from HP is thinner than the current market leader of tablets, the iPad. This news however has not been confirmed by HP.
With a screen that is a little bigger than 10 inches and battery life of 10 hours, this tablet looks good. As of now, all we have is a screen grab and no details that are officially confirmed by the company, not even the price of this tablet.
This tablet is supposed to have smart cards to prevent unauthorized access. With Intel coming up with Ultrabooks that would perform better than iPad and HP releasing tablet that is thinner than the iPad, we must say Windows 8 has a great future in terms of tablets.
