Internet Explorer® 10 would have two variations
As expected before, Internet Explorer 10 will be available to users in two variations. One variation would be for the Metro UI of the new operating system Windows 8 and the other for the classic desktop interface of Windows 8.
Having two interfaces that do not particularly gel well with each other is a big problem. We can clearly see here; not just Internet Explorer but many other applications too could be forced to have two different variations for different interfaces. This could mean that the extensions for the two versions of the browser would be different and the toolbars for them would be different too.
This problem, however, increases for people who are using Windows 8 on a desktop. Tablets and phones which run on Windows 8 won’t be facing any such trouble as they would only be using the Metro user interface. Let’s see how Microsoft tackles these interface based issues which are bound to arise.
