Microsoft earns more than expected profit
Even before the release of the new operating system Windows 8, Microsoft had a good run for the quarter. In fact, it exceeded the expectations and earned more profits for the quarter. This means when it actually releases Windows 8 and its other new products, the revenues would be higher.
Actually, the Net Income of the firm slipped a bit to $5.11 billion. The analysts at Bloomberg who predicted the numbers might be little surprised at the actual figures that were reported by Microsoft. There was a 6% increase in sales, the amount being $17.4 billion.
Apparently, many companies purchased Office Productivity, which ensured that the sales of the company went up. Folks at Microsoft are happy that the numbers have spoken well this quarter.
We can expect even better show at the end of this year from Microsoft with the releases lined up.
