Microsoft plans to set-up 32 temporary pop-up stores this fall
Just before the official release of the most-awaited operating system ‘Windows 8’, Microsoft has announced to set-up 32 temporary retail stores across the U.S. and Canada. The locations of the pop-up shops are reasonably spread out, with prime focus essentially on malls in urban areas, such as in New York City's Time Warner Center, The San Francisco Center, Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas, and the West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton, Alberta. In addition to this, the list also includes some locations in suburban areas, like San Antonio in Nashville, Tennesse in West Hartford, Conn, and Paramus in N.J.
Software giant, Microsoft will begin opening the pop-up locations this fall and have a selection of products, including the highly anticipated Windows 8 operating system, smartphone running Windows Phone 8, and Windows 8-based tablet, Microsoft Surface. The main motive behind setting-up the pop-up stored is to promote the upcoming Windows 8 products.
