Microsoft® Surface Tablets for High Tech Tab Experience
The software giant Microsoft breaks its own tradition by unveiling a line of tablet PCs powered by the company’s next-generation Windows 8 operating system.
Lately at a media event held at Milk Studios in Hollywood, California, Microsoft showed off a pair of intelligently designed Surface devices: one featuring Windows RT with ARM processor and another featuring Windows 8 Pro with third-generation Intel Core processor.
Features of Microsoft Surface Tablet
Anticipated to be launched this fall, Microsoft Surface for Windows RT is merely 9.3mm thin and weighs as less as 676 grams. This novel hardware device incorporates microSD, Micro HD Video, USB 2.0, 2x2 MIMO antennae. The Windows RT version further comes equipped with a storage capacity of 32 Gigabytes and 64 Gigabytes
While on the other hand, Microsoft Surface for Windows 8 Pro is expected to be launched 90 days after the release of Windows RT version. As compared, the Pro version is 13.5mm thin and weighs 903 grams. When it comes to ports and storage capacity, this version of Microsoft Surface incorporates microSDXC, USB 3.0, mini DisplayPort video, and 64GB and 128GB of internal memory.
Apart from this, both the versions of Microsoft Surface flaunt 10.6-inch ClearType HD display, which is more than the usual tablets available in the market. Other hallmark aspects of the tablets include a 5-mm thick cover and an integrated kickstand.
