By deciding to block third party applications on one of their versions of the new operating system Windows 8, Microsoft has irked Mozilla. It feels like those days when people restricted third party applications to make people use built-in applications.
Windows on ARM or Windows RT as it is officially called now is the version where third party applications might face a little trouble. They even called it the ‘unwelcome return to the digital dark ages’ on their blog.
The two environments or the interfaces of the Windows 8 are a problem for the application developers. In addition, this trouble is magnified for the browser developers because Microsoft is trying too hard to promote their new Internet Explorer.
While this has been the reaction of the browser developers, let us see the reaction of users when they realize that they do not have an option to use another browser on their operating system when Windows 8 is officially released. To know more about this, read the complete story here.
