Users won’t be able to use their image in Windows® 8 background
By admin ,Thursday, February 2nd, 2012All the intricate and user-friendly features of Windows 8 are great; however, it has recently been found out that Microsoft has given a big reason to its users for not being that happy about Windows 8. It is believed that users won’t be able to use their picture as a background on the Windows 8 Metro Start Screen.
After grabbing all the attention at the CES, Windows 8 is finally coming in the beta avatar. Everyone is all geared up to explore every possible detail about the all new Operating System from Microsoft.
Chris Flores, the communication lead for Windows 8, explained the reason behind this saying: “Users wouldn’t be allowed to change the background of the main Metro screen to their own photo. Scaling was an issue, but Microsoft had also decided that the home screen tiles would cover it up too much, defeating the point of a custom image.”

One will not be able to stretch and scale a picture because of the tiled Metro Interface that also adds groups to the start screen and hence would be covered up by tiles. However, you do not need to worry about all this since you have the option of choosing from eight different backgrounds available in Beta. These backgrounds can also be altered and customized the way you want.
The Metro version will also offer a complete mouse control to users for using the Start Screen interface.
Windows 8is expected to arrive officially during the second half of 2012.
