Nokia® and Microsoft® open Sept. 5 Windows® Phone 8 event for public
Finland-based mobile handset maker Nokia and software giant Microsoft has announced that the joint event that is scheduled to be held on September 5 to announce the launch of Windows Phone 8 will be open to general public in the evening. The joint event will be organized at Center548 in Chelsea, New York City.
In addition to announcing the launch of Windows Phone 8, other Windows 8 devices too will be officially unveiled during this joint event. The Windows Phone 8 is anticipated to be unveiled in the form of two Nokia Lumia devices that will be the first to feature the Windows Phone 8 mobile operating system. The entry of general public to this event was confirmed from a webpage that contains a link to the registration form for those who wish to attend this event. One of the columns of the registration form even asks whether the attendee owns a Windows Phone or not.
If you are a fan of Windows Phone, this could be your chance to be a part of this historic event and witness the official launch of Windows Phone 8. The morning part of this joint event by Microsoft and Nokia is reserved for the media, whereas it would be a sort of ‘after party event’ that is going to be a public affair.
