Check the online videos of Microsoft Build 2012 sessions
You may call it as a gift from Microsoft or can term it as another effort to promote its Windows 8 platform. The Redmond-based giant has made it easy for coders to access the session videos of its Build 2012 conference held from October 30 to November 02, 2012. So, do not regret if you were unable to attend those sessions in person. You can now watch the streaming videos for every session addressing Windows 8, Windows Phone 8, and beyond. Programmers can also get more insights on Visual Studio and similar tools through two keynotes and other talks posted online.
Two main topics at Build 2012
The four-day Build conference held at the Microsoft campus focused mainly on two areas. These include: How to design and build beautiful Windows 8 apps, and how to sell your apps in the Windows 8 Store and make money.
The first keynote of approximately an hour and a half focused on the opportunities available for developers and discussed the business prospects of having an app in the Windows Store. The discussion also showcased the latest Windows 8 apps by partners like Disney, LEGO, PayPal, Dropbox, and ESPN.
Speakers at the second keynote (which is approximately of the same length as the first one) discussed the cross-platform compatibility of Windows 8 and its presence in the cloud. The other presentations were delivered by the engineers behind the products and services.
