Are you apprehensive about using a Windows OS without a Start menu? Well, you aren’t the only one who is fretting over the absence of the Start menu in the latest Windows OS, Windows 8. Of course with years of being so used to the handy menu, you can’t be blamed for the anxiety. To ease your worries, Samsung has launched a whole collection of computers that is set with a free app that lets you explore the classic ‘Start’ menu for its Windows 8 laptops and tablets. Are you ready to explore the Windows 8 Start menu on your Samsung PC?

What is the Samsung Quick Starter app and how does it help you?

The pseudo-Start menu — dubbed Quick Starter (previously known as S Launcher) — from Samsung is available as a downloadable app on the Series 5 and Series 7 Samsung slates. The app was earlier due to ship with new Windows 8-based Samsung machines. However, it is now available as a free download with the new range of Samsung computers that have hit the store shelves.

According to a Samsung representative, “The Quick Starter app provides a taskbar that can open different applications and a ‘Start’ menu that will have the same look and feel of the Windows 7 ‘Start’ menu. Quick Starter is a feature new to Windows 8 and is designed to provide users with a ‘choice of interface’ and ‘a familiar navigation scheme’.”

The newly introduced range of Windows 8-powered Samsung PCs and tablets will let you explore Windows 8 Start menu, as you have always used it in the previous OS editions.

Looking for Samsung quick starter app download? You can conveniently do it from the S Manager suite. It is a portal that offers downloading the latest drivers and software within the Windows 8-enabled Samsung devices.

Great post and nice design. I love Windows 8 but I was quite apprehensive about the nonexistence of Start menu and was wondering if there are any ways I could plant an auxiliary Start menu for my ease of computing. Hence, thanks for your info that I was looking forward to.

I AM ONE MORE DISPLEASED USER OF WINDOWS 8 OS. THOUGH MY OWN LAPTOP IS STILL RUNNING GOOD OLD WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM, BUT I HAVE JOINED THIS NEW INTERIOR DECORATION FIRM WHEREIN I AM GIVEN THIS NEW SWANKY LAPTOP. THOUGH I WAS SUPER EXCITED WITH IT, BUT MY ENTHUSIASM DISAPPEARED THE MOMENT IT STARTED UP WITH WINDOWS 8 HOME. I AM MISSING THE EASE OF NAVIGATION THROUGH START BUTTON. HELP ME!

Do you think just adding the quick starter menu app in the windows 8, Samsung gonna make money with its laptops? I think NO! I still use windows 8 without start menu on my HP laptop I didn’t ever realize to have such menu buttons and I think I wouldn’t need them in future. I appreciate Microsoft for making a great os with completely new design and navigation. It gives users a new experience and the way to get rid of old OS user interfaces. I don’t think why user still stuck on Start Menu, do u still need it just downgrade to Win7 or XP. :P
