The task manager revamping is one of the good things that that happened in Windows 8. The new task manager is more user-friendly and utility wise, it’s better than its predecessor. Let’s have a look at the revamped task manager and try to understand it.
Remember the annoying dialog box for confirmation that is displayed when you kill any application on Windows 7. That’s not there anymore. Once you hit the button ‘End Task’, the task and process related to that application are killed instantly.
The grouping of the applications is also done in a better way in the new ‘Task Manager’. Plus, on the main screen where the list of applications is displayed to you, color coding has been introduced for you to understand which application is consuming more of CPU and it turns into amber and red as the percentage of CPU consumption goes up.
Looks simple to understand, no rocket science here and it looks like this one will be appreciated by users definitely.
