Competition is not a new word, neither is the fact that companies resort to different marketing strategies when it comes to establishing their brand. Whether it is attracting customers through enhanced features in their product or offering products that are made available at absolute throw-away prices, companies have done it all. The latest in this genre is from the house of Windows 8 phones.
Microsoft is planning to offer cheap devices with a view to compete against the monopoly of the market, currently held by companies such as Apple and Google. Smartphones and tablet computers offered by Apple and Google are already a hit with the users. Now, it is only a matter of wait and watch before we find out whether Microsoft will be able to break into this terrain. Joining hands with Microsoft, in this race, are Nokia and AT&T. Clearly, the competition is now between Windows 8 phones and the much-anticipated iPhone 5, among others.
