Windows 8 is slowly gaining market share
Finally some good news in the new year for Windows 8! According to Net Applications’ report, Windows 8 has gained little market share. Though Microsoft has announced that they have sold over 40 million licenses to people, reports have been suggesting that not many people have adapted to the new operating system yet.
Now it looks like things are going to change. There has been an increase in the market share for Windows 8 by 0.55 % and the total share of Windows 8 is now close to 1.64 %. While Windows 8 has gained market share, Windows 7 also gained a little more share in the market and the Windows XP market share fell down.
Worldwide, Windows operating systems (all of the combined) hold a market share of whooping 91.74 %. With Windows 8 doing well and a huge market share, it looks like Microsoft has nothing to worry about.
