According to a recent report, an image of the Windows 8 logo has been hacked from the network of the design studio and transferred to a Chinese website. The new logo was supposed to be released on the 26th of February, three days prior to the launch of the Windows 8 Consumer Preview in Barcelona, Spain.
The designer of the logo has expressed concerns about the image that has been ripped off. According to her, the image is of the wrong type size and form and it does not carry any information on how it can be included in animation and adjusted as per different sizes.
The logo has already started to draw flak as it is all blue and lacks other colors. As the relevant information is missing, people will be unaware that the logo's color can be changed so that it fits properly with the rest of the interface.
In the absence of proper explanation of the design principles, people will not be able to make optimal use of the logo that is now available online.
