Microsoft has said that Windows 8 is twice as popular as Windows 7 was if you have to compare them at the current phase. Windows 7 was only known to the geeks and the market experts. Windows 8 however has reached the consumers and the developers.
This popularity means one thing, when it finally releases in October, Windows 8 would not have much problem in getting the acceptance from people. Based on the number of downloads for Windows 8, which has crossed the million mark in just 24 hours, it can surely be called popular.
Steven Sinofsky recently announced that Release Preview of Windows 8 would be available for download in June for users. Let us keep a close watch at the number of downloads for that version and then take a final call?
