For all tech enthusiasts who are eagerly waiting to attend the pre-conference for Windows 8, there is disappointment in store. The event, which was scheduled to be held on September 12, 2011, is called off. However, sessions that would succeed the event for the next four days will be held as per schedule.

“In order to better focus on all the new content that will be covered at build, we decided to optimize for the four main days of the event, which will include an enormous number of speakers and sessions. Registration is open on Monday but there will not be any formal sessions for attendees that day. We’re communicating the change now so people have the option to change their travel arrangements.”

As far as the Build Conference is concerned, which would take place on September 13-16, 2011, the hardware partners and development companies are expected to be prominent attendees. According to speculations, the attendees will get a hands-on experience on the Windows 8 touch-screen user interface. They would also get to know how to create apps that would exploit the true potential of Windows 8.

However, it is still not confirmed that whether or not any Beta or a preview version of Windows 8 would be released during the build event. It is also certain that developers using the Microsoft Silverlight plugin and Visual Studio Version 2012 developer suite will not get enough information on how to work with these products using Windows 8 as the platform.
