Creating a Backup and Recovery in Windows 8
For every operating system, a backup is really necessary. Having a backup means that your data is safe in case your operating system crashes. Let’s hope that never happens, but it is still good to be on the safer side, right? Windows 8 allows you to create Backup and also allows you to enable Recovery, both of which would help you safeguard your data even if something goes wrong. So let us see how you can create a Backup and Recovery in Windows 8.
Right click on the start screen to start the process. Once you right click on the Start screen, a menu would appear on the bottom on the screen. Select the option ‘All apps’ from that menu. Once you click on ‘All apps’, you would see the option ‘Windows System’, under which you would see the option ‘Control Panel’. Once you click on ‘Control Panel’, a window would open on the screen. There in the Control Panel, you would find the option ‘Windows 8 File recovery’. Select that option.
Once you are in the Windows 8 File Recovery window, you would find the option ‘Setup Backup’. Select that option. Once you select that option, you would be required to select a drive where the backup would be saved. Once you select the drive, click on ‘Next’. And then again, select ‘Next’ on the ‘Setup Back up’ window. Once you are done doing that, you need to save the settings and run the back up by selecting the option ‘Save setting and run backup’. This would initiate the backup process. Now all you have to do is to wait for the process to finish and your system would successfully have a backup in the drive you’ve chosen in the earlier steps.
