How to Create Windows 8 Restart Shortcut
At times, due to some technical error or fault, you may just want to restart your computer. And if you have a computer with Windows 8, it can be quite a task. Here’s an idea: Create a shortcut on the desktop that restarts the Windows 8 computer when you just double click it. Here’s how:
Step 1: If you are on the Start Screen then go to the Desktop
Step 2: Right-click on a blank area on the desktop, go to ‘New’ and then select ‘Shortcut’.
Step 3: In the location box type: ‘Shutdown.exe(space)-r’ and then click ‘Next’
Step 4: Name the shortcut ‘Restart’ or whatever you like and then click ‘Finish’.
Step 5: Now you can double click the shortcut icon whenever you want to restart your computer.
